PGSM-S: Small Lady's Return

Long time, no update XD

An old design I finally put on my lightbox and redid. Small Lady Serenity Usagi Tsukino aka Miss Usagi 'Chibiusa' Chiba.

She's meant to be about 8/9 in this picture; around about the time that she returns to present-day Tokyo for senshi training and to meet Hotaru. And since returning to Crystal Tokyo after Wiseman and Black Lady, and awakening her senshi powers, Chibiusa has developed quite the bad-ass attitude, much to her royal parents' despair. She'll take on anyone XD

I can totally see this Chibiusa absolutely insist on her parents calling her 'Chibiusa' and refusing to answer to anything else, but as soon as she gets back to present-day Tokyo, getting so mad when Usagi calls her 'Chibiusa', and tries to insist on being called 'Usagi'.

I was always super proud of the original PGSM-Chibiusa drawing, but it is really showing its' age now, so I was randomly scribbling and came up with this. It definitely fits the image I had of PGSM-Chibiusa - crazy clothes, Sailor Moon's pose and loads of pink!

I found a place that sells Sakura Microns in Sydney and oh my god, they really are awesome to draw with. I love my Copic multiliners, but these are just amazing. I'm thrilled with how her hair turned out, since I lose a lot of the line work under blacks. If I drew it over again, I'd made her blouse yellow, I think, and a paler gray for the socks.

The member who made the original SM bunny paintbrush I used in the original Chibiusa image has deactivated her account, so I may have to duplicate it and remake it, if anyone is interested; but I went with hearts this time, anyway.

Here's to a lot of new art over the next few days, and hopefully getting the PGSM series back on track. Diana's still an okay drawing, so here's to moving on to Hotaru and the rest of the Outers.
